And for those of us who celebrate an anniversary a mere 6 days before heart day, we celebrate Valentine’s Day with the little hearts that resulted from that wedding! The creatures now expect that there will be a fancy table and only things with a heart get placed upon it for dinner: heart-shaped baguettes, heart shaped crab cakes, and the perennial favorites–giant strawberries dipped in chocolate!

Love all the prose in your latest post. And I have to admit that amid the hundreds of teensy, tiny little Valentine cards my girls are struggling with, I lost sight of the fun in the holiday. So now you’ve guilted me into abandoning my plans to ignore the day as far as my poor hubby is concerned. I’ve even downloaded a little Shakespeare.
